Paleo Period
The Paleos were the first people to enter the Americas via a frozen land bridge called Beringia, from Asia. They were nomads that followed herds of Mastodons, Giant Sloths, and Bisons for sources of food. They used Clovis Points attached to spears to bring down the large game that they hunted. They invented the Atlatl which was a spear throwing device that allowed them to throw their spears further, faster, and with more accuracy. Their major contribution was they were the first to arrive!
